About BNH Collective

Why we started BNH.

We’ve been on both sides of the table. We’ve advised founders, acquired businesses, invested in operations, sat on boards, and managed transactions. We’ve seen what works and what doesn’t.

What we kept seeing: owner-led businesses that were profitable and strong, but not ready for transition. Owners who had worked their whole lives to build something valuable but hadn’t taken the time to prepare. When transition time came — whether a buyer showed up or a successor needed to take over — the process was harder than it should have been. Valuations were lower than they could have been. Legacies were at risk.

We decided to fix that. BNH Collective exists to help owner-led businesses become more valuable, less dependent on the owner, and genuinely ready for whatever comes next. Not theoretical. Not complicated. Practical.

Track record

Grounded in real experience

20+completed transactions
$400M+aggregate transaction & integration value
4core industries: manufacturing, home services, distribution, B2B services

We’ve served as advisors to sellers and buyers, board members, co-investors, operating partners, and transaction leads. We’ve run businesses, bought businesses, advised on transactions, and managed post-close integration. This isn’t theory. This is experience.

Our perspective

How we think about your business

Practical over theoretical

We care about what actually works, not what should work in a consulting textbook. If something’s too complicated, we simplify it.

Owner-focused, not buyer-focused

We understand what buyers care about, but we work for you. We want the outcome that fits your goals — not the one that’s easiest to transact.

Long-term thinking

We care about your legacy, your people, your family, and your values — not just the deal. Transition is about more than a number.

Grounded in operations

We know what it takes to run a business, scale operations, build a team, and manage growth. That perspective shapes everything we advise.

Honest about trade-offs

Growth versus profitability. Risk versus return. Your interests versus your team’s. We help you see what you’re trading and whether it’s worth it.

Operator mentality

We roll up our sleeves. We don’t just advise — we help execute. We sit in meetings. We draft documents. We work through the hard parts.

Fit

Who we work with

We work best with:

  • Privately owned businesses generating $10M–$150M in revenue
  • Owner-led or founder-led companies (not PE-backed)
  • Businesses with real operations and a team in place
  • Owners thinking about a transition in the next 1–5 years — sale, succession, or next-generation leadership
  • Manufacturing, home services, distribution, B2B services, and related industries

We’re probably not the right fit if:

  • Your business is significantly smaller than $10M in revenue
  • You need immediate capital — that’s a different conversation
  • You want a broker or investment banker — we’re not that
  • You want a generic consulting firm — we’re specific
Our commitment

What you can count on from us

Candor

If something isn’t working, we tell you. If we don’t know, we say so. If we disagree, we explain why.

Confidentiality

What you tell us stays with us. We sign NDAs. Exploring a transition is sensitive — we treat it that way.

Real partnership

We’re not here to sell you more services. We’re here to help you get to your outcome. Sometimes that means less work, not more.

Owner perspective

We remember what it’s like to have skin in the game. We respect what you’ve built. We’re here to help you navigate change, not impose it.

Let’s talk.

If you think we might be a fit, reach out. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a straightforward conversation about your situation and whether we can help.
